Former Forest boys take control in Essex

A former Forest player and an assistant manager have taken managerial positions in Essex this week.

After some time out of the game, former assistant manager Colin Walton (pictured) has taken over at Olympian League side Westhamians. Westhamians finished bottom of Division 1 last year, but the new constitution has not yet been released, so it remains to be seen what division they will be playing in.

Elsewhere, Shamrez Darr has been appointed joint first team manager of Newham, alongside Kevin Lucas.

Darr was player/assistant manager last season, helping Newham to a 13th-place finish.

With Forest, he made a total of six starts and 18 substitute appearances across two seasons, scoring three goals.

We wish them both the best in their new roles.
