Good weekend for Vets, but reserves struggle

The Veterans were away to London Turkish Masters Legends at Wadham Lodge. This was a tight contest which saw Forest dominate possession in the first half, but couldn’t find a way past the LTM keeper.

Having dominated play Forest fell behind just 2 minutes after the break. However, LTM’s lead was short lived as Adem Carigen equalised on 54 minutes from close range. Two minutes later Forest took the lead when Carigen laid a cross to Ferhat Erdogan to score. Both sides struggled for domination, and on 74 minutes, Erdogan fired home a third for Forest to give them breathing space.

Forest lead the table with 3 wins from 3 games. Next Sunday they face Continental 58 at Wadham Lodge Park, kick-off 12.00. Their opponents have won their 2 opening games.

The Reserves went down 3-1 to FC Boca in Division One.

There was another heavy defeat for the ladies who went down 28-0 to FC Clacton.
