Adeyemi, Laide

Laide was one of many players who played for Forest as a product of the Barking Abbey Academy.

He scored on the first day of the 2006-7 season against AFC Sudbury, putting Forest ahead in a game they’d eventually lose 2-1. This was Sudbury’s first game at step 4 following their promotion the previous season.

He was one of a few players to hang around following Dave Muir’s departure, and although he didn’t feature extensively, he hung around long enough to make 14 appearances.

He returned the following season, making 10 more appearances for the club.

He in fact had one of the best goals/starts records for any Forest forward, but there was always a feeling he didn’t ‘want it’ enough.

Laide hasn’t been seen playing senior football since, but has played in the Camden Sunday League for Lotus.
