Barrow, Philip

Centre-back Phil Barrow joined the club towards the end of the 2007-8 season, as the club slipped towards the relegation places.

He was seen playing by manager Ged Searson for Greenwich University, and was quickly signed up alongside his uni teammate Tom Howell.

Despite being relatively inexperienced, he proved an excellent signing and was the proverbial ‘old head on young shoulders’. He scored his only goal for the club against Enfield Town, in a 3-0 victory which secured Forest’s Isthmian League status for another season.

He started the next season with Forest, but after the departure of Ged Searson, he made the step up to sign for Concord Rangers. It didn’t work out there, and he was soon playing for Potters Bar Town.

But that was short-lived too, and Phil seemingly dropped out of senior football altogether.
