Senior League to run a team short

This season’s Essex Senior League will only feature 19 teams as Colney Heath and London Colney are set to remain in the Spartan League.

This was only possible due to agreement from Hadley to move to the Essex Senior, and the proviso that both Colney Heath and London Colney would be unable to appeal any decision next season should they be allocated to the Essex Senior League again.

Barkingside’s appeal appears to have failed, as they have not been reprieved to bring the league back up to 20 clubs. This means the League will run with an odd number of teams for the fourth time in eight years.

The full constitution for the league is therefore:

Enfield 1893
Hashtag United
Hoddesdon Town
Saffron Walden Town
Sawbridgworth Town
Southend Manor
Sporting Bengal United
St Margaretsbury
Tower Hamlets
West Essex
Woodford Town
