1992-3

En route to the final Leyton accounted for Collier Row, Grays Athletic and Southend Manor, with the final against Rainham Town.

The semi-final turned out to be a real cliff hanger, Leyton taking the lead with a Stuart McLean penalty in the 85th minute, only for Southend Manor to equalise in the 90th minute, some twelve minutes later! Leyton went on to win with another from Stuart McLean in the dying seconds.

If the semi-final had been exciting, then the final would be a fantastic game, and so it was. Rainham Town and Leyton were all square at half time, with one goal apiece, and still equal at full time at four each. Leyton eventually running out winners by five goals to four. Goals coming from a Tony Samuels hattrick with Paul Salmon and Paul Frain getting the other two.

Leyton team in the final: Alex Welsh, Billy Clark, Darren Woodhurst, Andy Orr, Paul Salmon, Steve Carney, Tony Samuels, Stuart McLean, Leon Braithwaite, Paul Frain, Paul Smith

Subs: Richard Chick (for Carney) and Mark Salmon (not used)
