Dwade James has been voted as Walthamstow’s Player of the Season by the club’s supporters, players and committee.
Dwade’s 40 goals in 36 starts propelled Stow towards promotion, before the 2019-20 season was sadly cut short.
His 40 goals made him the Essex Senior League’s top scorer for a second consecutive season, and one of the hottest properties in non-league.
Dwade joined Stow from Leyton Athletic midway through the 2018-19 season, and made an instant impact, scoring 24 goals in just 24 games.
This season he continued his superb form in front of goal, but also added more to his all-round game, contributing a number of assists.
Picking up his award, Dwade said “I’m so grateful to be voted the Supporters’ Player of the Season. The support I’ve received at Stow since I first came has been nothing short of amazing thanks to the great fans and the Rabble. I’m gutted that the season ended so abruptly as most but happy to accept this award”
