Adam Richardson appointed fixtures secretary

Walthamstow FC are delighted to announce the appointment of former Tower Hamlets secretary Adam Richardson as the clubs’ new fixture secretary.

Adam has a wealth of experience in the Essex Senior League, having been involved for twelve years since he was 16 years old, starting with his role at Hamlets (2009-18), where he was predominantly Secretary at Mile End Stadium. He combined that with a spell at Barkingside as they were promoted to the Isthmian League (2012-13), and most recently he served on the ESL Management Committee (2018-21).

Passionate Portsmouth fan Adam is also the host of the weekly and successful Grassroots Football Show on Leytonstone-based East London Radio, alongside Pete Dudley & others, which is going into its seventh season.

On the appointment, Adam said: ”Firstly I would like to thank Andy Perkins & Max Mitchell for giving me this opportunity. As soon as they approached me to take up the position, I was sold straight away by their enthusiasm, ambition, and their desire to have me at the club, coupled with my thirst to be involved with local football. I was originally planning on taking a break after leaving the ESL Committee, but Walthamstow, with its locality to me, ambition, history, a big name at this level, and its tradition was too good an opportunity to turn down and I’m privileged to be involved with a historic club.

“The club is full of good people, who I’ve known for a long time, and I’m excited for the project ahead and cannot wait to start in July. I’d also like to thank Tower Hamlets FC & Barkingside FC for their help in my progression in the last 12 years and the Essex Senior League for their help, support & giving me the opportunity to serve on the committee for three years and wish both the best of luck with their progressions going forward”.
