Waltham Forest turned in an improved performance away to AFC Sudbury but it was ultimately in vain as they went down 3-0.
Sudbury dominated the opening proceedings with Myers pulling off two blinding saves from close range to keep the scores level.
Forest went close with Oyewale and Harfo both going close, but ultimately, the home ‘keeper was not troubled.
On 50 minutes the home side took the lead. Jamie Forshaw was given far too much time on the edge of the area, and he duly fired into the top corner from long range.
Then on 72 Cowely doubled Sudbury’s advantage. He was allowed to bounce off three defenders before curling the ball home past the stranded Myers.
In the dying embers of the game, Sudbury confirmed their win with another long-range effort from Forshaw.
