Eastbourne Borough Preview (2-10-11)
Forest will host Eastbourne Borough this Sunday the 2nd of October, in what is being billed as the biggest match in the club’s history.
This is the first time since the 2004-5 season that Forest have reached the Second Qualifying Round of the FA’s premier cup competition. On that occasion, Margate came out victorious in a very tough encounter played at Ashford Town (Kent).
Richard Shittu will be the most likely partner for Joel Palmer up front, due to the absence of Jeff Hammond. Hammond will miss Sunday’s match through suspension after picking up five yellow cards over the course of the season.
Other than this, Forest manager Wale Ojelabi will be facing a selection headache. Whether he will stick with Lukman Mojeed at centre back or opt for one of Antone Douglas, Ben Gracey or Michael Filletti remains to be seen.
While Forest have had an excellent start to the season, Borough’s has been distinctly average, as they sit 9th in the Conference South table, having won five, lost five and drawn one.
You can follow the match live on the club’s Facebook page and Twitter stream from 2PM on Sunday.
There will be several other functions at Cricklefields on Sunday, so parking will be limited. Please park in the surrounding streets if possible. All refreshments will be served through the burger bar, and there will be no access to the clubhouse.
