Make your way to M11 northbound and leave at junction 7 towards Harlow on A414 (London Road). Then join A1025 (Second Avenue). After 1 ¼ miles join A1019 (Fifth Avenue) and then turn left onto A1169 (Elizabeth Way). Ground is on the right in about 1 mile. There is ample parking at the Ground.
By Public Transport
By Central Line to Epping and then Arriva bus 381 to Pinnacles (opposite Pitney Bowes) then about ½ mile walk to Ground. Alternatively from Epping take Arriva bus 500 to Harlow Bus station and then Arriva bus 6 to Little Parndon (outside Spring Hills). The return journey may require a walk to Harlow Railway Station and a train to Tottenham to connect with bus 123 back to Ilford.
The Beer Hunter’s Guide to Harlow
Our next away trip is to Harlow, another of those grounds stuck way out on the edge of town with no pub anywhere in the vicinity.
The nearest ones are near the station: the Moorhen by the river (huge food-oriented pub with only mainstream beers, eg Greene King IPA) and further up the same road the delightful Dusty Miller (McMullens).
But be warned – it’s a mighty long hike to the ground from both of ’em!
