The draws for the early stages of the FA Competitions were released from Wembley early this afternoon and Forest have been paired up against some familiar opposition.
In the FA Cup, Forest will play their landlords Ilford, with Forest being the ‘home’ side. The match will take place on the 3rd of September 2011, with the winners receiving £1,500 in prize money. The winners of this match will be at home to Southern League Premier Division side Hitchin Town, in a match due to be played on the 17th of September. The winners of this match will receive £3,000.
Meanwhile, in the FA Trophy, Forest will be at home again, this time to Tilbury. The match was initially scheduled to be played on the 8th of October, but Ilford have also been drawn at home, so the match will need re-arranging. The winners will face either Walton Casuals or Faversham Town, at home in the First Qualifying Round.
