Luke Stanley named as player as the month for January

Luke Stanley has been awareded the Supporters’ Player of the Month. Stanley shaded the voting by just 7% ahead of 2nd placed Inaki Ordono.

Stanley, now on 98 appearances for the club (including substitute appearances) had spent the earlier part of this season with Aveley, but made a real impact since joing the club for a third time in December 2011.

He scored his fourth goal for the club, and his first since November 2009 in the 1-0 win over Waltham Abbey on the 10th of January. He almost got a second of the season against Grays Athletic, but his freekick hit the woodwork and fell agonisingly short of going over the line.
