Redbridge Preview (30-3-11)
This midweek, we entertain Redbridge, in a match which was originally planned for the 19th of February.
Forest would have gone into that match fairly close to Redbridge in the league table, and would have hoped to close the gap further. However, since then, Redbridge have found some consistency and pulled away from the bottom of the table, so much so that the gap between the two clubs is now 19 points, and with only eight gmaes left to play, they are pretty much uncatchable. Our only hope of avoiding the drop, is to catch up Ilford, on who we have two games in hand.
Our record against The Motormen is far from stunning. In ten enounters, we have only won twice, once on the 18th of March 2009, and the other on 10th March 2007, when Andy Thomas scored a hattrick of penalties to help us win 3-0.
The reverse of this fixture, in November 2010 was not one of our finest moments this season. We went down 4-1, and Joe Ellul was sent off.
Amongst Redbridge’s players are former Stags Elliott Justham and Sean Crossley, who was our reserve player of the season for the 2005-6 season.
The match could see debuts for Emmanuel Williams, Marvin Samuel, Joshua Bonnett and Charles Ofosu-Hene, who were all signed by Forest manager Wale Ojelabi this afternoon.
Kick off is at 7.45 PM, and you can follow live updates from the match on the club’s Facebook Page, or Twitter Stream.
