Marvin Samuel has today announced that he will be retiring from first team football, aged 41.
Samuel will best be known for an illustrious playing career, which saw him play for Harlow Town, Boreham Wood, Wingate & Finchley, Concord Rangers, Grays Athletic and Hertford Town, amongst others.
He first played for Forest during the 2010-11 season, making 8 appearances at the tail-end of the season.
This season, Samuel has made 11 starts and one substitute appearance. However, the pressures of first team football have now taken their toll.
It is hoped Samuel will now take up a coaching roll with Forest.
Marvin will continue playing Veterans football for Barnet Hearts – where he scored a hattrick just last Sunday.
