Waltham Forest 0-2 Heybridge Swifts
A hard-working Heybridge side took the spoils in a drab encounter at Cricklefields.
The visitors took the lead on 14. Kayan Kalipha was easily dispossessed, and the resulting cross was headed in by the unmarked Ryan Malin. Courtney white and Manu Dagher both went close for Forest, but Aksoy was relatively untroubled in the Swifts goal.
Forest did force some pressure in the second half, with Dagher proving a handful, but the Swifts centre back partnership held Forest out.
The match was settled on 81 when Luke Callandar was at the back post at the right time to finish powerfully.
Forest did have a chance of a consolation, but Gaz Dauti’s header met the inside of the post before being hooked away to safety.
