Romford comfortably beat an abject Waltham Forest, who struggled from start to finish.
Former Forest forward Ryan Imbert gave Romford the lead early in the first half, coolly finishing off a neat passing move.
Imbert then made it 2-0, knocking in a rebound after Jones’ initial shot hit the post.
Jones got his reward in the second half, with a looping header which beat Taranga in the Forest goal.
As Forest tried to get a goal back, Romford created several chances. Clayton made it 4-0 with five minutes to go with a close-range finish.
Forest had ‘keeper Taranga to thank as a series of excellent saves kept the score down to four.
