Forest were unable to end a disappointing season on a high as they went down 3-1 to Soham Town Rangers.
The writing was on the wall for Forest with only a minute on the clock, as Buster Harradine was allowed to break through and beat Amadou Tangara at his near post.
And not long later Harradine doubled his advantage, knocking in unmarked at the back post.
After a turgid performance in the first half, Forest came out with far more fight in the second and got a goal back through L’Hereaux Menga who showed excellent strength to hold off his defender before firing past the visiting ‘keeper.
But Ben Sawyer had the last say for Soham, as he finished from close range to make sure of the points.
