If you read the report from Sawbridgeworth in September then you won’t need to read anymore…
After a quiet opening the game came to life with Ibrahim Ezrouki creating a magic moment. There was a corner on the right hand side, it was swept in to the box where Ezrouki attempted an overhead kick, sitting in the grandstand you could see it heading for the top corner, but the Sawbridgeworth ‘keeper made an acrobatic save to push away a certain goal.
This was soon followed by a great counter attack from the visitors which saw Ferhat Hussein tip the ball over the bar to safety.
A good attack from Forest lead to Jose Agua hitting an inch perfect shot into the bottom corner of the net to give the home side the lead.
After 20 minutes a throw down the left side for Sawbridgeworth saw their equaliser come from nowhere. A header by their number four was flicked in to an open net to level things.
Just before half time Forest showed renewed energy but couldn’t find the net.
On the hour mark a bad back pass by Sawbridgeworth left the keeper stranded and left debutant Traore to stroke home the ball into an empty net.
Straight after there was more Stags pressure leading to another defensive mistake leaving Agua to crash home his second of the game.
At this stage it looked like Forest had the points in the bag. As the minutes ticked away before the end the defensive unit started to creak under the continued pressure leading to Sawbridgeworth pulling one back, a through ball which was converted.
Injury time seemed to last forever and this saw Sawbridgeworth equalise in the last minute with a shot from the edge of the box into the top corner. Hard lines for the Stags again.
