The Lilywhites gained a much deserved, much needed point last night. The weather conditions were awful: driving sleet throughout the whole match, but this did not deter the side from mounting a very effective rearguard action. Although Marlow had about 65% of the game the home defence stood firm on the edge of the penalty area.
Marlow’s main threat came from Jeff Lamb whose two free kicks, from the edge of the area, were tipped over the bar by home ‘keeper, Dave Curtis who had another excellent game.
