Pre-season kicks off at Barking

Walthamstow’s 2025-26 pre-season campaign got underway at Barking’s Mayesbrook Park, in a three-team tournament with the hosts and Isthmian Premier side Aveley.

Stow drew 0-0 with Aveley in the first game, with some promising performances from a strong XI.

Boss Vinny Murphy used the second game to take a look at a number of trialists, who fell short in a 1-0 defeat to Barking.

In the day’s other game, Barking beat Aveley 3-1, to lift the “Community Trophy”.
