Walthamstow v Takeley preview

Walthamstow take on Takeley on Saturday at Wadham Lodge in the Isthmian League Division One North.

Stow picked up their second win in two games after a 3-1 victory away at Heybridge Swifts on Saturday. Samuel Adeyeye gave Heybridge the lead half an hour in before Rasheed Salau levelled the game before half time. Goals from Brian Garzon and Joe Gregory in the second half wrapped up the win, taking advantage on a poor Heybridge side.

Takeley are playing their first season at step 4, having won last season’s Essex Senior League’s play-offs.

Theyy have had their last two home games called off due to a waterlogged pitch on Saturday against Gorleston, and on Tuesday against Brightlingsea Regent. Their last game was on the 29th November at home against Grays Athletic where they came away with the three points in a 1-0 win. Lewis Wicker was the only goal scorer in the 77th minute.
