Another tough FA Cup tie for Forest

After despatching one-time Southern League leaders Hemel Hempstead in the last round of this season’s FA Cup, Forest have been handed another tough draw.

Forest will be at home to Ryman Premier Division leaders Hampton and Richmond Borough in the next round of this season’s competition.

Borough were relegated from the Conference South last season, but have made a very good start to life in the Ryman League, having won four of their five matches, and are yet to concede a goal.

A seventh consecutive clean sheat came at the weekend when The Beavers beat AFC Kempston Rovers 3-0 in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.

We have only played Hampton & Richmond once, losing 4-0 in a Ryman League Cup tie in the 2000-2001 season. We did however, play Hampton five times before their chance of name, winning twice, losing twice and sharing the points once.

The match will be played at Cricklefields on Saturday the 22nd of September, with a 3 PM kick-off.

After the weekend’s 5-2 victory over Hemel Hempstead Town, Forest will no doubt be full of confidence that they will be able to repeat their cup heroics.
