Greenhouse Sports 3-1 Waltham Forest
Forest’s three-game unbeaten run came to a crashing end in north London as they were put to the sword by Greenhouse Sports.
Forest dominated from start to finish, but could only score one of upwards of ten clear-cut chances.
The game was only minutes old when Jose Agua broke the offside trap, before rounding the keeper to leave the goal at his mercy. However, Agua shot into the side netting, to the shock of the 12 people in the ground.
Agua then made it first to a ball over the top, but his shot landed on the bar.
Kaan Yucel cut back for Agua not long after, but Forest’s top scorer’s shot was closed down quickly by Bruno Carvalho in the Greenhouse goal.
With just under half an hour played, Prince Madu and Agua ran into each other, robbing Forest of a simple tap-in at the back post.
And on 41 Forest were duly punished. After having a goal ruled out for offside, Bankole Koroma gave the home side the lead with a low shot in off the post against Alex Catana.
The second half started the way the first ended, with Forest creating a number of chances. This time it was Alan Callaghan who was most wasteful, smashing over once, and miss-kicking when through on goal.
The one time Greenhouse did get out of their own half, Emmanuel Steven was brought down in the box by Kemaar Salmon, leaving Ange-Elie Johary to smash the spot kick past Catana.
Yucel did pull a goal back for Forest with a looping header on the end of a Miguel Lopes de Matos long ball, but it proved in vein.
Greenhouse hit the bar with a freekick, before Koroma got this second of the game, lobbing a stranded Catana after a long ball out of defence.
Forest now travel to Eton Manor on Wednesday.
