Andy Perkins steps down

Andy Perkins has resigned as Secretary of Waltham Forest Football Club, and the Club will mark his service of more than 20 years with a presentation at the end of the season.

Andy took over as secretary when the Club were still playing as Leyton at the Hare & Hounds, and was instrumental in the merger with Walthamstow Pennant and the move to Wadham Lodge in 1995, where the Club changed its name to Leyton Pennant. He then oversaw the name change to Waltham Forest in 2003.

Andy’s work for the Club is much appreciated by the rest of the Committee, and he will be a difficult act to follow.

Andy’s workload will be shared by the rest of the Committee for the rest of the season, and we hope to enlist further volunteers onto the Committee at the AGM in June.
