Arlesey Town beaten at home

Walthamstow picked up a first pre-season win thanks to a 3-1 victory over Arlesey Town.

Joe Elliott’s long throw proved to be the difference, with two of Stow’s three goals coming as a result of his aerial threat.

Max Browsdon will claim Stow’s first, but it was most likely an own goal. Elliott got on the end of a set piece to make it 2-0, and Alfie Gilbey netted Stow’s third.

Arlesey nabbed a consolation goal with the last kick of the game.

Stow continue pre-season at Wadham Lodge on Tuesday evening when National League South side Enfield Town visit.
