Clarke leaves AFC Sudbury
Ridgeons League Premier Division club Norwich United have signed defender Nathan Clarke from Ryman League Division One North side AFC Sudbury.
Sudbury manager Nicky Smith said after talks with Clarke, who had expressed concerns over his availabilty for games and training, it was agreed to release him.
A strong, well built defender, Clarke (pictured) joined Sudbury from Walsham-le-Willows in March 2010 making his debut the same day. He was previously with Mildenhall Town and Bury Town.
Work commitments have made training and getting to evening games difficult and Smith agreed with Clarke that he would release him from his contract.
Smith said: “I am grateful for the time he’s been with us and unfortunately things work wise have made it a problem for him to be with us at times. I’m sure he will do well elsewhere.”
Clarke played twenty-seven gamesscoring once while with the King’s Marsh Club.
