Colney Heath 4-4 Waltham Forest

Waltham Forest got the 2015-16 season off to an exciting start, drawing 4-4 with Colney Heath.

Despite starting brightly, Forest found themselves 1-0 down after a fluffed clearance allowed the home striker to roll the ball past Raul Esteban in the Forest goal.

Bust Forest soon began to find their feet, and scored twice towards the end of the first half.

Dan Tulloch got the first – converting a penalty after he was hauled down in the box. This was followed by an excellent counter-attacking move, started by Esteban and finished with Didier Grah O’Pily firing low into the bottom corner.

The home side then scored three goals in 20 second half minutes, to go 4-2 up. Two of these again came from individual errors, and Forest will know they will need to improve on this come the start of the season.

However, Forest ended the game brightly, and goals from the impressive Mohamed Mahmoud and a second for Grah O’Pily set up a tense ending, but the scores remeained level.

Next up for Forest are Woodford Town, who visit Wadham Lodge at 3.30PM on Saturday.
