Derby day in FA Cup
Waltham Forest have been handed an exciting local derby in the Extra Preliminary Round of the 2016-17 FA Cup.
Forest will travel to Redbridge – who will play in this stage of the competition for the first time since
The tie will be played on Saturday 6 August, at 3PM.
Forest have not won an FA Cup tie since the 2012-13 season, beating Hemel Hempsted Town 5-2 in the First Qualifying Round.
Since then, Forest have lost to Aveley, Hoddensdon Town and St Margaretsbury, but will be looking to make amends this season.
Similarly, Redbridge haven’t won in the competition since 2011-12, though they did make the second round proper that season.
The winners of the tie will be at home to Hoddesdon Town or Stansted in the Preliminary Round, giving Forest the possible chance to avenge their defeat two seasons ago.
