Division 1 North Transfers (13-6-12 to 20-6-12)
AFC Sudbury: 27-year-old midfield man Stuart Fergus who last season plied his trade with Ryman North rivals Heybridge Swifts is the latest addition at the MEL Group Stadium.
Aveley: The Millers will no doubt have a very strong squad next season, as Justin Gardner adds to what is becoming a very experienced squad. Brothers Marc and Lee Sontag have both signed, after several years at Waltham Abbey. Former AFC Wimbledon midfielder Scott Curley has come out of ‘retirement’ and has also signed.
Needham Market: Needham Market manager Danny Laws has continued to strengthen his squad ahead of the season with the signing of Bury Town’s Kieran Leabon. The versatile midfielder, who can also operate in a more advanced role, found his game time diminished last season but still made 32 starts for Bury as well as a further 12 from the substitutes bench scoring 10 goals in the process.
Soham Town Rangers: The Cambridgeshire side have made their first signing ahead of the 2012/13 season, with Jordan Gent arriving from St Neots Town, where he played 43 games during the club’s title winning campaign last season.
Thamesmead Town: A summer of solid acquisitions continues south of the river as Emmanuel Oesi joins the list of new arrivals, signing from Brentwood Town. In addition to this, two 19-year olds, Quentin Conteh and Oliver Poole have signed from Welling United. Manager Keith McMahon was also able to confirm that Lewis Tozer, Lea Dawson, Ashley Probets, Danny Penny, Jack Hopkins, James Donovan, Chuck Duru and Rikki Cable will all be staying at the club for the forthcoming season.
Wroxham: The committee at Wroxham have shown their commitment to manager David Batch, by agreeing a five year contract with the title-winning gaffer.
