Forest to travel to Thurrock in League Cup

The draw for the fourth round of this season’s Ryman League Cup has been announced, and Waltham Forest will travel to Premier Division side Thurrock.

This will be the Stags’ second trip to Ship Lane already this season, after beating Romford there in the FA Cup.

It will be the first time since 1998 that we have played Thurrock in a competitive fixture. On the 27th of October that year, we beat them 4-3 in an FA Trophy tie.

It would be fair to say that the draw has been kind to Forest – in terms of travelling at least. Only Aveley would have seen Foerst travel a shorter distance, be it by a mile or so.

The game will most likely take place on Tuesday the 4th of December.

The full draw is as follows:

Concord Rangers v Bury Town
Dulwich Hamlet v Wealdstone
Horsham or Worthing v Hastings United
Metropolitan Police v Kingstonian
Thamesmead Town v Aveley
Thurrock v Waltham Forest
Whitehawk v Maidstone United
Wroxham v Soham Town Rangers
