Former Stag King is out for rest of season
VETERAN Wingate & Finchley goalkeeper Gavin King is likely to miss the remainder of the season.
King broke his hand in the warm up before the Ryman League match against Met Police this week.
King has been a virtual ever present in recent seasons at The Abrahams Stadium.
With Bobby Smith serving a suspension, the club are currently in talks with an experienced goalkeeper to come in for Saturday’s visit to Waltham Abbey.
Meanwhile, boss David Norman was delighted with the team’s seventh consecutive win.
He said after the Championship Manager Cup tie: “It was extremely pleasing to reach the semi-finals having already beaten quality sides in the division above.
“It shows the quality that we have here at the club. However, unless we get through to the final all our hard work counts for nothing.”
