Isthmian League 2025-26 allocations announced

Possibly the most important day in the non-league calendar, the FA have today announced the league allocations for the 2025-26 season.

Walthamstow will remain in the Isthmian Division One North for a third season, joined by four new teams and two returnees.

We say farewell to Brentwood Town and Bury Town (both promoted), and Basildon United, Haringey Borough, Ipswich Wanderers and Sporting Bengal United, all of whom have been relegated.

Bowers & Pitsea and Lowestoft Town have both been relegated from step three, a season after promotion from Division One North.

Essex Senior League champions Stanway Rovers have been promoted, as have play-off winners Takeley. They’ll be joined by Eastern Counties champions Downham Town and play-off victors Bratham Athletic.

The footprint of the division continues to shift east, and with the return of Lowestoft and promotion of three teams from the eastern reaches of the country, Stow’s away travel milage has increased considerably.
