Leyton v Waltham Forest Preview

After Saturday’s draw with Ilford, Tony Mercer’s side travel a few miles down the road to rivals Leyton for the second match of the season. While Forest got their season off to a decent start, Leyton went down 5-0 to promotion favourites Brentwood, so will no doubt be looking to bounce back from a crushing defeat.

Leyton manager Wilson Frimpong was appointed towards the end of last season, and his side went unbeaten for the final six games. Much of that side was kept together for this season, and they will be hoping to finish better than 21st last season.

For once, the Leyton squad does not seem to have any former Forest players, so there will be an air of the unknown around Tuesday night’s game.

Odds on the game are as follows:
Leyton: 5/2
Draw: 53/20
Waltham Forest 3/4
