Waltham Forest’s first pre-season friendly ended in defeat but there were plenty of positives to take for new boss Kem Kemal.
Forest created plenty of chances, but two lapses in concentration cost them in the second half-hour played.
Miguel Lopes de Matos and Prince Madu were the only survivors from last season’s squad to start the game, while Jeff Hammond – who has scored 22 goals in 49 games in two spells for the club – started up front.
Alex Cantana, Komal Llewellyn-Reid, Kemarr Salmon, Elie Mbangu and Kubilay Akbayrak all made appearances during the evening.
