Murphy returns

Walthamstow have secured a huge signing ahead of the 2019-20 season as last year’s Players’ Player of the Season Vinny Murphy returns.

Vinny joined the club for his second spell at the end of December 2018, and instantly firmed up the side’s defence. Since joining, Stow only lost one of the 19 league games Vinny played in. He was also crucial in the side keeping 11 clean sheets in those games.

Stow manager Ryan Maxwell said “When a player leaves you wish them well, but when they want to come back, what do you do?

“You give him a cuddle and say welcome home!”
