Pitcher looking to rebuild careers at Forest

Waltham Forest’s newly-appointed assistant manager Darren Pitcher is looking to rebuild careers at the Essex Senior League club.

Speaking to the Non-League Paper, former professional Pitcher said “It’s another avenue for me and a chance to give back to the local community.

“It’s a chance to get boys back on the ladder. We’ve got some really talented boys here.

And Pitcher revealed that he turned down a number of management opportunities to work with Terry Fogarty at Forest, saying ” had a couple of offers this summer.

“This gives me and Terry a chance to show what we can do.

Forest start their pre-season campaign away to Colney Heath on Wednesday 15 August at 7PM.
