Transfer updates: 22/6/11 – 29/6/11
AFC Sudbury: Nicky Smith has signed Richard Howell, who had previously played with them in 2008 when he was dually registered with Bishop’s Stortford. Chris Sullivan also signs having spent time last season with Braintree Town and Aveley. Sudbury, like their Suffolk neighbours Needham Market have made a change to their backroom staff, appointing veteran defender Jack Wignall as first team coach.
Brentwood Town: Town manager Steve Wirtherspoon has added more attacking options to his side, signing midfielder Luke Croll and striker Jose Espinoza, both from Potters Bar Town. In addition to these two, Andy Tomlinson signs from AFC Hornchurch.
Grays Athletic: Only one signing this week for Grays, and it comes in the form of Charlie Hurlock, a midfielder who has played for AFC Hornchurch, Barkingside and Redbridge.
Harlow Town: Harlow have continued to strengthen over the summer, as they have announced the return of former manager Ryan Kirby, and centre-half Kevin Stevens from Boreham Wood.
Redbridge: Terry Spillane’s relentless summer of signings has continued, as Andy Oxby, Mark Nougher and former Stag Jamie Haywood have all teamed up once again with their former boss.
Tilbury: Tilbury have sprung into action in the last week, signing four new players. Experienced midfielder Steve Harrison signs from East Thurrock, Tom Webb, 22, signs from AFC Sudbury and Emile Aitken has become one of the latest players to leave Ware. Their final signing is defender Joe Nightingale who is hoping to make a comeback after missing most of last season through injury.
Ware: Newly appointed Ware manager Stuart Nethercott will hope that he has finally stemmed the flow of players leaving his club. Goalkeeper Obey Murefu has agreed to stay for another season, and the vastly experienced forward Ricci Crace has signed from Chesham.
