Two more for Mead
Keith McMahon, manager of Ryman League Division One North club Thamesmead Town, has been busy during the summer break by signing five new players, in addition to keeper Steve Northwood last week.
Youngster, Jack Hopkins has signed a one-year contract as has Tom Hopkins.
Speaking of Hopkins, McMahon said: “I believe Jack will come through to the first-team this year as did Lea Dawson last year. It shows we are building for the future by singing these young players.”
The club are pleased to welcome back Lewis Towser after personal problems.
The other pair who have signed for The Mead are also big news for the club. Solid central defender James Campbell signs from Whitstable Town and quick, left-sided player Grant Duff (pictured) arrives from Ramsgate.
Speaking of Campbell, McMahon sounded very pleased: “This is a very big signing for us. I have been chasing James since the end of last season and was one of my main tagets this summer so im over the moon to sign him. James` experience with be invaluable. We had difficulties defending last year and with these signings along with Steve Northwood will help plug those areas.”
