Under 21s Manager Confirmed

Following the announcement of the launch of Waltham Forest Under 21s, the club are now able to reveal that the new side will be managed by Raif Esendgali.

Raif has a wealth of experience, having coached at a youth level for the last eight years: coaching children from 12 to 18.

Last year, he made the move up to senior football, working as the assistant manager for Aslan FC in the Hertfordshire Senior County League where he helped guide the side to a league and cup double in what was a prolific season.

The Aslan squad had an average age of 22, and some of the younger and more promising players will be moving across to form the backbone of the U21 squad this season.

Speaking to StagsWeb, Esendagli gave a bit of information about the rest of his management team: “I’m pleased to say that I have managed to twist the arm of a fellow school teacher, Kamran Ezel, to assist me on the coaching staff.

“Kamran has many years of experience coaching in schools where he has taught and continues to build up a good working knowledge of the promising talent in and around North-East London.

“We share an ethos of developing players to be the best they can be and our primary focus has to be to develop the Waltham Forest FC of years to come.

“We would both much prefer to be judged on the number of players we can nurture into the first team, rather than attempting to amass trophies at youth level.”

No date has yet been set for trials but they will most likely be held in the second week of July.

Any players who are interested in playing for Waltham Forest Under 21s can contact Raif directly via email at raifesendagli@hotmail.com with their footballing CV.
