Waltham Forest’s final pre-season friendly ended in defeat, as a goalkeeping error in the first quarter of an hour cost them dear.

A long-range effort bounced just in front of the Forest keeper and he was unable to turn the ball around the post.

Forest threatened, and Ryan Maxwell hit the post with a long range effort, but they know they will need to be far more ruthless in front of goal come the first game of the season against Basildon United on Saturday.
