Waltham Forest 0-2 Heybridge Swifts
Forest edged closer to an inevitable relegation after going down 2-0 to high-flying Heybridge Swifts.
The home side got off to the worst possible start, as Ben Newson converted David Wareham’s cross with only 60 seconds played.
Ben Long went closest for Forest, firing just wide from 30 yards, but it proved to be another long afternoon for the basement side.
And things went from bad to worse after 23, as Heybridge doubled their tally.
Immanuel Parry was guilty of over-comlpicating things, when trying to keep the ball in play. And it was Wareham who was provider for Newson again, as he made no mistake from eight yards out.
Swifts continued to press as Forest struggled to get out of their own half, but the visitors were unable to make their dominace pay.
