Waltham Forest 0 – 3 Enfield Town

Forest tumbled out this seasons FA Cup at the first hurdle, going down 3-0 to a good Enfield Town side. Town should have been three or four goals up at half time, but Forest ‘keeper Jason Willis single handedly kept them at bay. The second half looked a lot brighter for Forest and debutant Lawrence Yiga missed a couple of good chances to put the home side ahead. In the end, Forest capitulated, giving away three goals in the space of six second half minutes. Protheroe got Town’s first, converting a penalty which Gbenga Ladega gave away. Town’s second was the result of a good move down the left wing, with Bardle applying a close-range finish. The third and final goal of the game saw Sam Byfield waltz through Forest’s defence after Dean James gave the ball away in midfield.
