Waltham Forest 1-0 Harlow Town

Going into this game Forest knew they had to win every game with a mid-week loss to VCD whilst for Harlow they were pushing for promotion.

With the game starting at a high tempo on nine minutes Harlow got a free kick but the resulting shot went over the bar.

Forest were immediately on the attack with Lee Scott but it his shot was well saved by Luke McGee.

Shortly after, The Stags got a free kick outside the box, but again this chance was cleared.

Forest were straight back on the attack with Ben Long crossing into the box with a great header from Scott but a great save once again by McGee.

Forest’s pressure resulted in a corner on the left hand side, from this it was a goal mouth scramble where Miguel Pascel-Johnston’s shot found the bottom left hand corner of the net to give Forest a deserved lead.

L’Hereaux Menga had a long range shot going over the bar then on 39 minutes Harlow got a free kick, a header was made but it went wide of the Stags goal.

On the stroke of half time, Harlow had to make a sub with josh Urquhart going off due to having dislocated shoulder.

Straight into the 2nd half Harlow had long range effort but the shot went over the bar.

Shortly after that Harlow got a free kick in the Forest half resulting in a goal mouth mess but the shot went wide of the Forest net.

With ten minutes to go forest got a free kick outside the Harlow box it was curled in by Scott but it went over the bar.

Harlow had one last attack of the game, a cross came into the box but the shot went wide again and the stags held on for a vital three points.
