Waltham Forest 1-1 Ilford

This FA Cup tie did nothing to live up to the hype of Non-League Day. Forest were without several key players, and were forced into changes.

Ilford opened the scoring when Banjo’s deft header sent the ball in at the back post.

In a match where the solid pitch was proving the biggest obstacle, both sides struggled to get a grip on the game.

Forest levelled on 28 when a neat short corner move from Gaz Dauti and Tashan Nicholas saw Dauti beat a defender before stepping inside and curling the ball into the top corner.

There were few chances in the second half either. Both sides had occasional forays into the opponent penalty areas by virtue of counter attacking, but the tie will be decided by a replay.
