Waltham Forest 1-4 Barking

Three goals in 10 first half minutes compounded Forest to another defeat against Barkign at Wadham Lodge.

Joe Killingback broke the deadlock for the visitors after 10 minutes, half-volleying in at the back post after Forest allowed the ball to bounce across the face of goal.

Mekki Moussa then thought he should have had a penalty after he was scythed down in the box – however a goal kick was awareded.

Tom Jeffes doubled his side’s lead on the half hour with a one-on-one finish past hunt, before Ben Turner added a third, being quickest to pounce on a loose ball as Hunt pulled off a good save.

The pick of the goals came on 40 minutes, as Killingback got his second, a sweetly struck free kick from some distance.

Jose Agua was finding space down the left wing, and was rewarded with a goal on 71, but Forest could not find a way back into the game.

For Forest, it seems like the end of the season can’t come soon enough – they finish with the replay of the abandoned tie against London Bari, on Thursday 23 April at Wadham Lodge.
