Waltham Forest picked up their second pre-season win and first clean sheet with a 2-0 win over an Enfield Town XI at Wadham Lodge.
Forest could have been ahead after just 30 seconds as Mo Mahmoud blazes over after a good passing move.
Pulemny Martin gave Forest the lead just before half time, poking home at the second attempt after a good cross from Abisola Balogun.
And Forest’s lead was doubled just after the break, Balogun turning finisher as Mahmoud cut the ball back precisely into his path.
Town had a number of chances, but Forest held a solid defence and go into Saturday’s match with Southend Manor with an air of confidence.
