Waltham Forest 2-0 Maldon & Tiptree
The league leaders left Cricklefield with their tails between their legs as they were defeated by a hard-working Waltham Forest side.
After a slow first half, the game sprang into life just after half time, with Ferai Hallam giving Forest the lead, heading in an inch-perfect free kick from Luke Stanley.
Chico Ramos then saved Forest twice in the space of only a few seconds, saving with his feet.
Forest went straight down the other end and were awarded a penalty when Adrian Clifton was bundled over in the box.
The Forest skipper picked himself up and confidently smashed the spot-kick home.
As the game progressed, the visitors became more and more frustrated and picked up a number of yellow cards for some cynical tackles.
Matt Waldon was shown a harsh second yellow with only minutes to go, but Forest held their nerve and took all three points after six minutes of added time.
