Waltham Forest 2-1 Aveley

Waltham Forest picked up a hard earned three points in a tough contest with Aveley.

In an even start, Corey Whitely gave Forest the lead with a long range effort after the ball was knocked down by Jack Leachman.

Whitely doubled Forest’s advantage in the second half with another long range effort, this time Larin was provider.

Aveley then started to mount an comeback, and pulled a goal back through Jay Leader.

But it was not enough, as Forest held out for a victory.
