Waltham Forest 3-3 AFC Sudbury
Going into this game Waltham Forest knew that they had to get some wins to avoid going into the Essex senior league, with games coming around the corner.
Meanwhile for Sudbury going into the game they had not lost a league match since 26th October when they lost to Aveley.
There was a late change for the Stags with Oyetunji Oyewale in for Hussein Isa who was stuck in traffic
The game started at a high tempo with Ollie Hughes being one on one with Stags keeper Myers resulting in his shot going wide, on 10 minutes a free kick to the Stags resulted in captain Leon Fisher scoring from a sharp header, the Stags taking the lead 1-0.
Another long ball for Sudbury resulted in the striker chipping it over Parry and Myers but the shot luckily went wide.
Just on the stroke of half time Sudbury got a free kick outside the box on the left hand side taken by their Number 4 Shinn, he sent the ball curling into the top corner to make it 1-1 at half time.
A few minutes into the 2nd half the Stags had a corner resulting in a goal mouth mess, but with no one able to poke the ball home, shortly afterwards a terrible back pass to the Sudbury keeper saw Menga rob the ball off the stranded keeper and tap the ball into an empty net to make it 2-1 to Waltham Forest.
This resulted in the Sudbury keeper picking up an injury to his ankle, a few minutes later the Stags made it 3-1 with Tunji Oyewale scoring a screamer outside the box and sweeping the ball into the top corner.
After that Archer limped off the pitch and as Sudbury had used all their subs they to had use an outfield player as a make shift goalkeeper.
The Stags also made a change with Oyewale coming off for Isa. From here on the Stags should have pressurised the Sudbury stopper however with 10 minutes to go Sudbury did get a goal back to make it 3-2 with Sam Clarke unmarked and his header going into back of the net.
With little time remaining the Stags kept giving away free kicks, this culminated with Henshaw scoring, and it was now 3-3, with the shot coming off the post and into the back of the Stags net, with more drama to come in the last few seconds Sudbury thankfully missed an open goal with last kick of the game.
